Totally a bright prodigy who definitely deserves more attention. We've been listening to all the mid 20 year autotuned artists totally ruling the pop domain and artists like David Archuleta were still on the dark side. And this will certainly be a pop up album for Archie and above all its a long remembered one.
I gotta say that this guy's voice is the real essence of the album. He is genuine in his work, vivid in his voice and the yield. When you need to potray the feelings in a superlative modus the voice had to connect to the poetry you natter and that part was gleaming. Moreover his voice brings up the R&B style in him which pretty much suited him when compared.
Musically, the album was a chill out, the music was made simple and sounded flawless. Its a minimal love letter to a loved one which had a realistic feel which makes you imagine for a while. Right from the germinal the album was pretty much relaxing and enjoyable with its vicissitudes. "Dont Run Away" was exceptional and my major pick from the album.
Lyrics were the essential ones and the sensitivity kept and the carry out till the end was top notch. Its like describing and narrating to the one it deserves and Archie will shine bright as a songwriter too and the two songs co-written by Joy Williams of The Civil Wars was a definite plus.
Finally, if you really want the music and lyric to speak through an album this is your proper pick. Glad that he really believed in his own talent other than the computers. You can simply mix the tunes and can make your album popular, but its really tough when you show up in a different manner.
Ive been talking about the album too much, but still will go with a three and a half star cause they are lots more worthy ones other than this.
