The narration was too obtuse and director was in a complete dilemma and have no idea whatsoever. It begins like a kickass action movie slowly alters to international spy one and finally comes back to the original. And about the plot which lacks intense and perkiness is the dumbest and a shitty one ive seen in a moment.
The Good:
-Few bizarre and extreme action sequences you may enjoy
The Bad:
-Story
-Few loud and awful action segments which is more like a jaw dropping experience when you see (if you know what i mean)
Plot: John McClaine (Bruce Willis) have nothing to do and was on a vacation in his hometown. After learning that his son Jack McClaine (Jai Courtney) is been arrested for a murder, he tracks him down and heads off to Moscow, Russia to help him in the only way he knew. After encountering his son he discovers that he is a undercover CIA agent and was ongoing a secret mission. Eventually the two Jr. and Sr. McClaines find their way out, slaughters every men on their way and finally gets ahead in their plan.
What really makes sense in the movie? i say nothing. Moreover its like a superhero experience where it can named as "A good day for a return of batman" or superman or whatever you like. Seriously, Bruce Willis jumps out wherever he wants and crashes whatever he likes and finally shows up like that he was hit by nothing. Mainly in the climax where the two McClaines jumps or been thrown by a helicopter will crash to the ground level without hurting themselves other than some small injuries. This is surely some bungling kind off story telling or film making.
John Moore,, the director thought to consign something like a spy action dramatic thriller and had failed in his limited aspects. He totally unexploited the plot and delivered something what we truly dont expect from a Die Hard thing. The father-son relationship was shoddier, ingenious and was completely wasted.
Bruce Willis is like a total injustice for his role. He was not entertaining and interesting. When compared to his previous roles including the cameo ones this was a complete contrast and is totally the fault of the film maker. Jai Courtney the junior was decent as he was something new to us, so nothing was expected from him and its like a simple surprise.
Final Verdict: Honestly, this was the worst and a awful part of the Die Hard franchise. There is nothing much to watch it in a IMAX except for some action sequences you may/may not agree. A total transformation from something mind blowing to something mind disturbing. Finally its "A good deal when you watch it in a dvd"
