Verdict: “Another gratifying outcome from Pixar”.
Seriously! I rarely enjoy animated flicks around and to my surprise I enjoyed watching "Monsters University". It didn't really compacted with different things and plot, a simple one with more appealing narration.
Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) was a dreamer, whose decisive goal is to become a scarer and study in Monsters University. Being a nerd and a quick grasper he easily gets into Monsters U. On the other hand Jake Sullivan (John Goodman) comes from a fashionable family and is a well reputed scarer because of his appearance and personality. Competing the odds, Mike & Sullivan starts their relationship in a weird way.
After being expelled out from the scary program in the college, their only chance to get back in is to win the scary games, which necessitate a team to undergo various clans against the other teams. So Mike & Sullivan collaborates with a gang of four and enters as underdogs into the tournament. The ending! we're quite familiar about it.
Even though it covenanted with a predictable plot, there was no dull moment althrough the movie, being a prequel the characters of Mike & Sully were well established and dispensed. Although they frequently disagree with each other, they were few moments where they become compassionate in their work which really see the sights between Mike & Sully and their affiliation.
Being a fun-time animated movie, the humour was very well shown, few inspiring and farce moments will enthuse and amuse the onlookers. The intensity developed in few dreadful sequences will definitely engross the horror moviegoers too. The writers should take the credit though.
As anticipated, the movie looked gorgeous and attractive. Credits to the Pixar animation department, they presented the movie magnificently and few panoramas looked absolutely real and tangible.
Finally, Monsters U is definitely an enjoyable movie which you can certainly watch with your family. It contracted with all the obligatory elements that we usually expect. I don't say that its the best product from Pixar but an agreeable one. Go check it out!
