Parker Movie - Review
Parker is a 2013 film directed by Taylor Hackford. Starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez, the film is adapted from Flashfire, the 19th Parker novel, written by Donald Westlake under the name Richard Stark.
First of all, keep your expectations low, this Statham starrer may totally spoil ur planned weekend blast.
Synopsis : Parker (Jason Statham) a professional theif not the usual bad-ass, he doesnt steal from people who cant afford it or hurt people who dont deserve it,. After a burglary at the local fair, his new unkonown team of four refuses to pay back his share and shoots him numerous times before he throws himself out of a running car. Later he's been admitted in a nearby hospital and after knowing about the betrayal Parker now flees to Palm Beach, Flo Rida for his vengeance where he come across Leslie Rogers (Jennifer Lopez) a real estate agent and enlists her help in finding the crew. Did he thrive in his plan is the other part.
Cast : Jason Statham looks all the same in his style like the Transporter series, that we've seen before. He's delightful and moreover not a philanderer, he looks perfect with his elegant dress up and attitude. But the action part what we usually expect from a Statham starrer were totally rare to find, he's got nothing amazing to perform or react. Jennifer Lopez, lemme tel you her role is the complete opposite of what she actually fits into, i mean the tone of her arc is pretty much parallel to her role and also the scenes were ordinary and boring. Maybe her role is simply been distended to rationalize her ofscreen popularity.
Direction : Taylor Hackford is a bit skilled but the inept scenes with a puzzled logic and narration was a disaster. Story was too conventional and retells us a simple Indian commercial genre. The length was elongated which completely turns off our mood. I dont wanna talk about this anymore :/
Final Verdict : All i wanna say is "Wait for the DVD"
My Rating - 1.5/5
