Warm Bodies - Movie Review
Seriously!! a blonde chick like Teresa Palmer in fact can make the dead fall in love too. Actually what i mean is that she's too striking and elegant in the film.
And this is the first time i comprehended that a zombie who truly killed the protagonist partner will be the one with her in love at the end. Insane right?
But this is kinda fun, all the amusing gestures of the zombies allover and the fact that they cant really speak to each other aside of some small words, all this can and will fairly change the routine romantic drama to a jesting romantic drama to some extent.
Synopsis: R (Nicholas Hoult) is dead and now a petrifying zombie who hunts for human flesh with his army of zombies and especially sues for human brains cause he has the power to feel the memories of the actual owner. On the other side of the city lives Julie (Teresa Palmer) who is a part of the FBI (im not sure about her profession but a police officer for sure), later on shes been sent on an assignment to the zombies land along with her team including her boyfriend Perry (Dave Franco) by her father (John Malkovich).
In the intervening time, R and his army encounters the police force, attacks them and massacres Perry. But on his (R) first sight of Julie he falls in love with her and infact saves her from the zombies and takes her to his place for safety. By all those little pranks Julie do to escape truly makes R go deep into her.
Is this zombie-human love story really happening? Will R be able to triumph over? What makes Julie attract to R? A fairy tale end? Watch them in Warm Bodies.
Cast: Nicholas Hoult i gotta say that he really dont look like a freakin' zombie and moreover looks like a modeller who doesnt really speak much, do all the things that you wish and mainly listen to whatever shit you speak. Maybe a perfect choice for ladies. (Charm+Patience) Right? Apart from that, he's good with all his funny shrugs maybe terrifying at times. His expressions mainly speak the intent in him and that part was well performed by Hoult. Terresa Palmer is endearing yet stunning with her performance. And i feel that a hot chick like her is slightly wasted. Dave Franco is decent with his short screen presence and so was Analeigh Tipton.
Crew: Direction & Screenplay by Jonathan Levine is ordinary and is predictable what happens next. The story line is unique and nothing comparable to Twilight. Cinematography was brilliant, you actual feel the modernised taking in the certain segments. The old retro songs which show up beautifully syncs the vibe of the love vista.
I agree that this certainly has some flaws allover but they are quite let off. Jonathan Levine could have been more keen in his deliver. The zombie part can be made more funnier or entertaining or whatever the actual intent is.
Final Verdict: Warm Bodies has a likable cast but i dont tell that its perfect. They are enough funny, smart and lovable moments in the movie. Not totally boring but a slightly entertaining atlast. Watch it once.
My Rating - 3.5/5
