The soundtrack which just takes you back to the unwinding and gratifying atmosphere and has no certain dull or factional instants.
From the veterans Sajid-Wajid and Dawid Dhawan "Chashme Baddoor" gives us a hot-rodding experience right from the instigation. Lyrics from Neelesh Misra, Jalees Sherwani and Kausar Munir were entertaining and few lines like "Har ek Kamina hota hai" and "Dhichkyaoon Doom Doom" were extremely catchy and appealing.
Har Ek Friend Kamina Hota Hai - This one liner is been based on the popular airtel advt. "Har ek friend zarrori hota hai". And this track is beguiling, the instrumentals and the vibe created were exactly similar to the 90's permutations. The splendid vocals from Sonu Nigam adds some extra dancy flavour to the track which totally entertains us when we watch it visually.
Dhichkyaoon Doom Doom - In this track we do enjoy some really immersed wordings and splash of fun frolicking beat patterns in this 'retro feel' number. It gives us melodish improvisation in few parts. Ali Zafar and Shreya Ghosal sung well and kept us engaging till the very end and also fetches quite different kind of aspects in Neelesh Misra's writing proficiency.
Early Morning - Brings back the animated feel of the early 80's, but this is kinda song where we actually feel that all the soundtracks were sounding absolutely the same. But they dont truly, the bouncy and the energetic fun that Sonu Nigam creates was the only redeeming factor and you often dont prefer to go upon it again.
Ishq Mohallah - The bhangra mood which features Mika Singh in it, is a perfect recipe in my opinion. The rigorously punched dholak allover and some vivacious lyrics penned by Neelesh Mishra perfectly harmonizes the soundtrack with some jumping and pumping experience for all bhangra lovers.
Andha Ghoda Race Mein - Beginning with some guitar riffs and some few lyrics accompanied with the piano this track shifts us to a rock band ambiance. This is energetic yet funny with its storytelling. Wajid and Ali Zafar were extremely vivid with their screaming vocals and pretty much fits into the film.
Final Verdict: I dont recommend this as a must listen. But for all the fun and the humorous atmosphere created listen it once or maybe twice. This is more like a narrative storyteller.
My major pick is "Har Ek Friend Kamina Hota Hai".
PS: Filmatic and remix versions were not included in this review.
My Rating - 2.5/5
