Verdict: Soft and lenient, could enthuse the youth.
Too much love is some kinda bore, think about a movie which got nothing to say apart from all the drama the two main leads possess. We've got a drunkyard pop star who doesn't even change when situations demand and a small town girl now a star who doesn't want to change according to the situations.
Rahul Jaykar (Aditya Roy Kapoor) is an established star and always find problems because of his habit of drinking. After a clash in one of his concert, he drives alone on the city roads to find peace where he meets Aarohi (Shraddha Kapoor) who has an amazing singing talent to die for. Rahul offers Aarohi a chance to convene with music companies in Mumbai, where she travels and finds success which will upsurge her musical career to a towering level. Meanwhile Rahul loses all his form and caves in failure. Will he find success again? Or is it about something more? Aashiqui 2 is the answer.
Now, the plot is a boring one, there is nothing to deal with, its the same old differently crafted bollywood drama. The screenplay is a clichéd one, its like, Ok! I got a point and I'm gonna drag everything with that. Talking about the good things, Mohit Suri had done a satisfactory job, the productivity looks radiant and simple, he used the things in a proper way all around. About the music, this is the main reason why its been named a musical drama, the songs imparted the perfect vibe to the movie and if the movie stays in the audience view for a while, that's only because of the music that's crammed in it.
Aditya and Shraddha had absolutely everything to offer, the movie based only on their performances and we can affirm that two new bright stars were bestowed to bollywood.
Finally, Aashiqui 2 doesn't have something new to offer and doesn't really have much to smack the triads. This is a well yielded musical saga with a likable cast and a disinteresting screenplay. Worth watching once, if you're totally floating on a love river.
