Pity that a great actor like Vivek Oberoi is acting in such movies. Maybe its the unknown factor that his acting life was completely terminated. Seriously, the saathiya and company were the trademarks for him. But he's really striving for a big comeback and nothing was going in his way. BAD!
There is only little part of the movie that makes me entertain. But the makers were completely out of their mind and have no idea what they are actually doing. I usually dont care when something goes bad in the film but this flick really tested my patience allover, all the bullshit love drama, the fairy tale story that doesnt even make sense, the nastiest screenplay and mainly the characterization. And this movie will definitely pop out in the worst movies of the year list for sure.
Whats wrong with bollywood, i really dont understand. Even some comic and entertaining parts could have added some masala to the film but they completely lost it. FAIL FAIL FAIL!!!
And i dont wanna talk about the plot, but on the whole its about a new girl in the city who has some certain dreams to fulfil and few challenges to face. After the recession period she enters into the low level style of living where she meets her neighbour Jayanta who is a gangster by profession and fells in love with him eventually. So after all the duets and some intimate nights. They take this love thing till the end and finally succeeds and its like a dream come true. What a CRAP!
Neha Sharma looks cute, sexy and attractive in her look and she had done a fair job as always. All her bubbly and delightful gestures somewhat brightens up the film a lil bit. Vivek Oberoi doesnt disappoint, his tapori slang summed up with few comedic acts were ok.
Direction from Vinnil Markan, the real culprit, he doesnt even fit for making movies especially in Bollywood. Who actually gave him a director chance, even a new assistant director could have done better. One word for his direction "AWFUL"
Music is the positive thing i wanna talk about. Sachin-Jigar had delivered some melodious hummable tunes but were completely wasted. "Thoda Thoda" was ruined with its fimatic version and "Aa Bhi Ja" was saved a bit.
Final Verdict: A complete two hour of time waste which doesnt even worth a dvd nor a free download. The movie was that bad and if you're a huge fan of Vivek Oberoi or Neha Sharma watch it for ur own happiness. Il give this "Jayantabhai Ki Disastrous Story" a half star only for Vivek, Neha and Music.
