Kalyana Samayal Saadham was directed by the new-comer RS Prasanna, is an innovative and thought provoking adult rom-com movie. It deals with a serious issue on a light hearted way.
Raghu (Prasanna) and Meera (Lekha) hail from a typical Brahmin family. They meet on a matrimonial site and get engaged. The wedding is eight months away and the couple begin a beautiful dating to know each other. During the course of eight months they both become very close and love each other.
Then, with just a month to go for the wedding, it is Meera's birthday. After a big party with friends, they feel that it would not be wrong to get intimate. But there is a big twist in the story when Raghu realises that he is impotent.
What happens next? Did they call off their wedding or get married? Are explained in the second half.
First of all a big round of applause for Director for taking up the subject of impotency. The screenplay was very well written. Director had taken utmost care to not make the scenes look vulgar, indeed they are funny and enjoyable.
Prasanna deserves appreciation for playing such a role which will be hesitated by other actors to take up. Lekha is a perfect choice for the urban bride. The BGM of the movie is a plus which makes it more entertaining to watch.
Overall, KSS had all the fun and excitement of a Tamil Brahmin wedding, an enjoyable one to watch.
