Chennaieil Oru Naal starring "Supreme Hero" Sarathkumar, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Prasanna Venkatesan, Cheran, Iniya, Parvathi Menon, Jayaprakash and Mithun is remake of the Malayalam Super Hit Movie "Traffic". Distributed by Sun Pictures and produced by Radikaa Sarathkumar and Listin Stephen, the film is directed by Shahid Khader.
First I want to point out few good and bad points in the film. Some things worked out brilliantly
The Plus:
Every characters performance.
Background Score
Cinematography
The Minus:
Few unwanted dragging scenes
Based on a True happening in Chennai few years ago, it features one connecting incident in the lives of four unrelated groups of people living in Chennai. And that incident is an insanely unrealistic task of transporting a heart from Chennai to Vellore in no more than 90 minutes.
The plot looks simple, but it’s not a simple thing to deal with. Director Shahid Khader has the responsibility of not spoiling the essence of the Original and he succeeded in it. The film is racier and engaging than "Traffic".
Music composed by Mejo Joseph played a very important role in this film. His background score during sentiment and other scenes were impressive and apt for this kind of genre. Cinematography by Shehnad Jalal was brilliant while covering the fast moving car on the highway roads
Finally, Chennaieil Oru Naal is an out and out racy movie, highly engaging, edge of the seat thriller with a social message of Organ Donation. Surya, who played a power packed cameo appearance in this movie gives an advice about Organ Donating which would change lives of many.
So people, I humbly request you all to Wear Helmet while driving. Though the movie says the message of organ donation, I ask you all to wear Helmet, which is the root cause for a person to lose his life in this movie. So, please wear helmet while driving
My Rating-3.5/5
