Stanley Kubrick's - "The Shining"
"The Shining" is an 1980 horror thriller which was adapted from the novel also named 'The Shining' written by Stephen King. Starring Jack Nicholson in the main lead, the movie shines with it's remarkable screenplay and the way it was shot and portrayed. We hardly get to see only three characters throughout the whole movie and the performances were exceptional and were completely worth watching for. The sound and the penetrating directing job from Stanley Kubrick gives you one of the best intense genuine thriller experience which definitely deserves all your attention if you're not familiar with it.

Richard Linklater - “Before Sunset and Before Midnight”
Last week we reviewed Before Sunrise and now it’s time we talk about its two sequels Before Sunset and Before Midnight. Both the movies are directed by Richard Linklater and the screenplay credits are now shared by the Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy and Richard Linklater. The second movie in the trilogy, Before Sunset, takes place in Paris nine years after Jesse and Celine first met, they encounter each other again on Jesse’s Book tourin which he wrote about their night together nine years ago. The movie essentially takes place in real time, which is noteworthy. During these 90 minutes Jesse and Celine talk about how their life has changed and what they have been up to in these nine years. Which is not as boring as it sounds because these characters are very interesting and you can relate to most of the things these characters talk about.
The third movie, Before Midnight, takes place after eighteen years since their first encounter. They are in Greece and Jesse and Celine are now married. They are in the phase of their marriage where they need to realise if love is still there in their relationship. I have never enjoyed two people just walking and talking around the city as much as I did in these three movies. And these movies are officially my favourite Romantic movies of all time. I hope they continue making these movies and take the story of these two amazing characters forward.
