Terry George's - Hotel Rwanda
Hotel Rwanda is a 2004 American drama film directed by Terry George. It was adapted from a screenplay written by both George and Keir Pearson. Based on real life events in Rwanda during the spring of 1994, the film stars Don Cheadle as hotelier Paul Rusesabagina.
Hotel Rwanda is based on real life incidents. Opening in Kigali, 1994, the film is set on the cusp of the Hutu-led genocide against their former overlords, the Tutsi, a massacre that left almost a million people dead. Filled in a situation where children been ripped off from parents hands and people been dragged and massacred to death on roads, Don Cheadle's hotel was the only source for people's shelter. How did Don Cheadle overcome all these dreadful situations and saved few people of the village is the other part of the story. Hotel Rwanda leaves us in sorrow and grief and tells how tribal people were treated in the past ages. Filled with lots of emotional values and feelings Hotel Rwanda is a must watch if you love drama crammed in the movie.

Manivannan's - Amaidhi Padai
Amaidhi Padai is a 1994 Tamil movie, Starring Satyaraj in dual role as Father & Son, directed by Manivannan. It also has Ranjitha, Sujatha, and Manivannan in prominent roles. This film is viewed as Satyaraj's best performance till date. He gave a mind-boggling performance as Ammavasai.
The story revolves around a wanderer Ammavasai (Satyaraj), who gets connected to a local politician Mani (Manivannan) and helps him with petty tasks during election campaign. He stands in election and becomes MLA. He changes his name to Nagaraja Cholan to gain status, he also forgets his relationship with Thaaiamma (Kasthuri) and rejects her pregnancy and marries Sivakami (Sujatha) daughter of a local landlord and even cheats him of his palace. Over years, through shortcuts he builds a strong political empire of his own and grows in a matured corrupt politician. Ammavasai's son Thangavelu (Satyaraj) through Kasthuri is debuted as constable in Ammavasai's constituency. He comes to know about his real father, and his betrayal to his mother. The story further continues how Ammavasai and Thangavelu proceed in their battle and finally who wins it.
Amaidhi Padai is known for its sturdy and forceful dialogues and Satyaraj's cult performance. His splendid performance as Ammavasai is still remembered. And Amaidhi Padai is still one of the greatest Political films ever made. Manivannan stands tall in aspect of director has he had done a great job. Its sequel Nagaraja Cholan M.A., M.L.A (Amaidhi Padai-2) is all set to release tomorrow, and people are waiting for Ammavasai-Mani'ya combo after 20years
