Ayushmann Khuranna is back again and his previous hit single 'Paani Da Rang' is still curving in our mind alllover. And yes, this is soft and luminous too. Performed and composed with various music directors along with Ayushmann. "Nauntanki Saala" brings you back the old school rock and soft genre which is not to be missed.
"Mera Mann" - Composed and sung by Falak Shabir, this has some exquisite thing created in it. Lead by some harmonious guitar riffs and instrumentals this track will bring back some 80's retro kinda genre which we had experienced years ago. It has a subtle feel and vibe created with the simple and serene acoustic music and the percussions were easy to the ear. Falak Shabir potraits his striking vocals magnificently with utmost ease.
"Saadi Galli" - From the composers of the bright hit "Paani Da Rang" Rochak Kohli & Ayushmann Khurrana. Saadi Gaali seems like the exact brother of Paani Da Rang. They sustained their previous magic in all aspects especially the vocals from Ayushmann. This mellow love ballad has a expressive thing wrapped up in it with superior lyrics and more mature vocals from Neeti Mohan in addition.
"Dhak Dhak" - Dhak Dhak sung by Geet Sagar, Bruno Carvalo & Santosh Sawant is an euphonious remake/remix of an old telugu song. Although this some few extra instrumentals added in it and the tune was something new when compared to the original. This is appealing, sharp and quick and will be a witty soundtrack of the album.
"Tu Hi Tu" - Sung by Ayushmann Khuranna again, this is a astounding genre of the album filled with some dulcet divinity and poetic vividness. The endearing vocals from Ayushman sets you out of the world to a superlative dreamy world. In the end Tu Hi Tu is an enchating experience to the listener.
"Dramebaaz" - From Geet Sagar again Dramebaaz is a funky joyride which is expressive with its striking and funny lyrics. The comical atmosphere was amusing and totally suits the title of the film.
"Saapne Mera Toota" - Rahat Fateh Ali Khan makes a fabulous presence with Saapne Mera Toota which transforms the listeners to a classical ghazal feel and the normal style of Rahet in rendering the track was brilliant.
"Dil Ki Toh Lag Gayi" - This is a reggaeish quixotic one sung by Saba Azad with a dozy and a nodding vibe created. The sloggy parts in the middle were quite humorous.
PS: Reprises, Remixes and Second Versions were not included in this review.
Final Verdict: A pure and some flawless music which is very rare to find in this modern mainstream era. Give it a listen, you'l definitely love it especially the Ayushmann featured ones. Lyrics were written beautifully and are funnier when needed.
My major picks are Mera Mann, Saadi Gali, Tu Hi Tu and Saapne Mera Toota.
My Rating - 3.5/5
