The Bhatt's who consigned us many startling hits which comprised Murder 1&2 were back with their new romantic valentine thriller "Murder 3" starring Randeep Hooda, Aditi Rao Hydari & Sara Loren. Music was composed by Pritam and the lyrics were penned down by Sayeed Quadri.
Teri Jhuki Nazar - The retro archetypal ballad commerces the first song "Teri Jhuki Nazar" sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali. Shafqat renders this mellow love duet with good adroitness and affluence. Although it sounds the same old Shafqat's type, this is the stand out track for the album and the initial retro melody is easy on the ear.
Mat Aazma Re - KK turns up in "Mat Aazma Re" the touching and also a expressive breakup refrain but it sounds like we heard it before. The average composition doesnt make this tune a totally heartbreaking melody which is not much needed for the film i guess. Overall this aint any long remembered KK track. Thumbs down!
Jaata Hai Tujh Tak - After the sensitive yet romantically lustful first track, and the awful second, we move on to the next "Jaata Hai Tujh Tak". Is it a dance track? No! a romanctic melody? No! this is a fresh and inimitable joy ride. Freshn' up with the vocals of Nikhil D'Souza and striking scenarios allover visually this song may add some delightful liveliness to the film.
Hum Jee Lenge - Sung by Mustafa Zahid featuring The Roxen Band, this is a situational one in the film. A sad and a soulful atmosphere maintained through some apt lyrics and mostly rely on the euphonious guitar beats till the end. This song closes the album with a saving grace and can remembered till a certain epoch.
Final Verdict : Murder 3 doesnt really bring back the retro melodic magic of its prequels but can greatly suit for the film. On the whole, this is average and not a Pritam's trademark. Can listen for Teri Jhuki Nazar and Hum Jee Lenge.
PS : The film versions and the remixes were not reviewed cause they all sound the same.
My Rating - 3/5
