Plot : The movie opens in Istanbul, Turkey where Arman Mallik (John Abraham) is a local hooligan who believes in money and runs casino's around the city. He then meets Ranbir Singh (Saif Ali Khan) who later on elucidates Arman about a scheme which values some billions and they finally come to a concord. The serious twists which has some connection from the past plots the other part of the story.
Cast : Although his character doesnt have many different shades to show, Saif had done a decent job with his smirky little smile and a much needed attitude. John was good in his action scenes in which he sounded more awful. His changeover of expressions was a bit appalling. Leading ladies Deepika & Jackqueline succeeded in pumping up the steam with their attractive looks. But were given less impactful roles. Anil & Ameesha were ok and were completely annoyable in some scenes.
Crew : Abbas - Mustan the director duo who directed the previous Race maintained the movie to look stylish and lavish. The exotic locations of Turkey were shot beautifully with some kickass cars and sexy babes which is needed for a racy thriller. But the story lacks behind to uphold the suspense which is quite predictable and some parts were unrealistic mainly the climax escape. The timing of the songs dint make any friggin' sense as they suddenly show up without any situation. Maybe the main idea of dragging the movie with more commercial elements dint actually workout.
Music by Pritam was fine. Party on my Mind and Lat Lat Gayee were the party rockers. Whereas Be Intehaan was catchy and was forgettable on the move.
Background music was normal and sounded alike compared to the action thrillers.
WTF !! Moments : Saif jumps from a 50 feet high historic wall and lands safely without any panic and moreover continues the chase. The climax scene in which Saif and Deepika escapes from a flight on the middle of the air by jumping with a car which has four parachutes fixed in it. WTF !!!
Final Verdict : Watch Race 2 if your completely excited about it. This has some high class action sequences and some predictable twists which may entertain or disappoint you at the last. Worth watching once.
