Verdict: "A Poetry Filled Sweet Lullaby"
"Same Trailer Different Park" is the fourth studio album and major label debut by American country music artist Kacey Musgraves. It was released on March 19, 2013 via Mercury Nashville. Musgraves co-wrote all twelve tracks and co-produced the album with Luke Laird and Shane McAnally.
This is the first time i'm listening to Kacey and i gotta say that this is a whole new diverse country genre when compared to the high pitched vocals and the conventional lyrics. Good thing is that she did not compete with mainstream country singers like Taylor and Carrie. She's got her own upright responsibility and her lyrics shine on the move.
Her voice is appealing and adorable which slightly shows up the Taylor in her. Not much instruments were used, which is superior and makes the vibe pleasurable for the album. Few guitar and banjo strokes were carried out throughout the album accompanied with the tender drum beats. And the best thing that impressed me was that there was no probability for the autotunes to be used which consecutively makes the album pure and vibrant.
Musically the album kicks off with the harmonized "Silver Lining" to the trenching and impressive "It Is What It Is". ''Merry Go 'Round'" the Americana grooving heart breaking single was my major elite.
Lyrically, this album produces a wonder in its rendered production. Kacey and co-writers Josh Osborne, Shane McAnally, Brandy Clark and Luke Laird had done some magnificent job in the writing department which was a poetry filled sweet lullaby.
Whether you like it or not, this album is no joke. Each track has an emotion crammed in it which is needed for an light country album. A slight chuckle and an ceaseless remembrance will definitely been left behind when you hang on with the album. Unquestionably, this is the best country music i've listened in a while.
My Rating - 3.5/5
