Verdict: "Golden shines bright with its melodious extravaganza".
Golden is the fourth studio album by the American Country music trio Lady Antebellum. It was released on May 7, 2013 under the label Capitol Nashville/Universal Records.
The last time I heard to Lady Antebellum was last year on their underrated holiday album "On the Winters Night". After their heavy drama triumph album "Own The Night" Lady A is back again with their highly anticipated summer release "Golden". I gotta say that this band's working effort was magnificent, they show up with a new release every year and that's a pretty remarkable thing when compared to other artists.
Opens up with "Get To Me" which quite dearths the dynamism for an album starter but the seductive vocals from Hillary Scott keeps it engaging for a while. Sets the pace off with a nostalgic tune "Goodbye Town" the duo shines bright in the track and a five minute extension was a bit annoying thing. "Downtown" the lead single fills the album with a amusing vibe carried out by Hillary in her vocals, lyrically this track worked out really well with all the petite witty words they used. " Better Off Now (That You're Gone)" is a regulate tempo filled track which lacks innovativeness and which is quite ordinary tune you've previously heard from Lady A.
With the title track "Golden" the album hopefully opens up in different echelons, the customary arrangements that the band used and the slight groovy vocals from Charles renders a gorgeous track. While "Long Teenage Goodbye" is sealed up with virtue and purity musically and yet again furnishes a breezy love ballad. "Generation Away" is rather a seamless way to end up the disc with certainty in its lyrics and the new range of sonic arrangements. It doesn't end up leaving you something unfilled behind and reasonably makes you feel that its a quite a listen.
Finally, I don't end up in a tedious way. "Golden" has all the potentials for an hit album but there is indeed a time you will find it ordinary. Quite a satisfactory one from my side as I didn't expect much from the album. Lady A once again proved that were a happening thing around the country realm. Worth listening for a while in this summer.
