And this is the Worst Worst Worst Worst movie ever seen. Starring 'Paiya' Karthi, Anushka, Santhanam, this movie led a huge disappointment among the audience. The film got released coinciding Pongal holidays, was directed by Suraaj and produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under Studio Greens Banner.
The film opens with Karthi trying Anushka from a bunch of baddies and escaping from them. What happens after that and what made them fall in this trouble forms the rest story of Alex Pandian.
Karthi has done his best to the role. Stunts and action sequence looks brilliant. Anushka looks colourful and done pretty acting. But Karthi-Anushka chemistry didn't work well and their romance scenes has been forcibly added to the plot. Santhanam, as usual does his job well, but many double-meaning dialogues could have been avoided. Milind Soman & Suman has nothing to do much, except for the firing and fighting scenes.
Another main drawback in this movie is Devi Sri Prasad's Background Score and Songs. BGM didn't sync well with the movie and at times irritates us. Songs were also not that good. Cinematography by Saravanan was very bad during the action sequences and most other scenes. Editing by Praveen K. L. & N. B. Srikanth was of poor quality.
Alex Pandian is out-and-out Mass Masala Entertainer, which will well work with Karthi's Telugu Audience better than the Tamil Fans. Director Suraaj has tried for a perfect Pongal Entertainer, but he failed to create it.
Final Verdict: Watch it for Time-pass and for Santhanam's rib tickling comedy.
