The Impossible Movie - Review
The Impossible is a true story of Maria and Henry Belon, directed by Juan Antonio Bayona and was written by Sergio G. Sánchez
Plot : A family of three children, mother & father begin their holiday vacation on the shores of Thailand and were caught by the uninvited guest "Tsunami" on Dec 26th 2004. They were separated each other and were rescued by the local village people. The rest of the movie deals with how did the family reunite and survive the disastrous Tsunami.
Cast & Crew : Edge-of-seat performances by Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor and also by the three children makes the movie more realistic and totally unforgettable. Director Bayona created the storm sequence as a magnificient spectacle. The recovery from the storm was picturised perfectly and was shown more painful when compared. Maybe the cinematography by Óscar Faura deserves more respect equally to the direction. Background score by Fernando Velázquez immerses us into the story and was pretty emotional till the end.
Final Verdict : Impossible is a tragic survival thriller with some brilliant peformances and some fine piece of filmmaking. This will totally entertain you and will leave some sorrow in the heart, worth watching.
My Rating - 4/5
